As we all know, xmas is a time of giving and as fun as it can be to gift to all our loved ones, please spare a thought for those families and individuals in our community who face financial hardship.
If your reading this, you can help spread the joy in several ways-
Food donations to food banks around your communities like Salvation Army Churches & Auckland City Mission. Also most Countdown Supermarkets have food bins located near checkouts where donations can be dropped.
Gifts (New Toys for Children) again donations taken to Salvo & Mission, as well as the Kmart Wishing trees that are located at the front of the store (who work with the salvos).
Monetary donations, one off donations can be made via the websites below.
They have gift packages that can be purchased which can help individuals or families in need.
BeSomeonesAngel.co.nz (Auckland City Mission)

Even contacting your local Salvo, charities, missions and churches who work within the community and ask what they need and try to fill those gaps, be it food, money, gifts or volunteering your skills/ time.
You can be some ones angel in the communities you live in, it doesn't take huge gestures just donating what you can will help share that Holiday Joy that most of us take for granted.
Before shopping for our gift donations we contacted our local Slavo Church and found out that they were low in gifts for teen boys.
So this year, me and my sis were able to help fill that void, so hopefully no child goes without.
From the bottom of my fatty heart, I want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year.
